Dream of blue candy that gives you the farts
Dream of a willow tree that can tell you some
jokes
Dream of tiny people that give your ankles some
pokes
Dream of a summer rain that sprouts 50 foot
flowers
Dream of a rainbow that bleeds colored showers
Dream of a man that has a Jacuzzi on the moon
Dream of a monkey that whistles a happy tune
Dream of a bicycle that grows a horse’s tail
Dream of a dog that surfs the ocean on a whale
Open your mind as wide as the skies
And let your dreams
unfold when you close your eyes….

i don’t know how many times i have read this now ….lost count after ten…… and it just gets better each time. the first few times i was just so enchanted by its brilliance. i just love the way it starts and ends with a message …..to dream. dreaming is something so simple that we all can do it and while some argue that dreams have this sort of underlying current of rationale behind them i think that the best way to sum it all up is that dreams mean absolutely nothing ……and yet, they mean everything. they are boundless and that is truly magical in itself. so you captured that essence in your opening and closing lines in my opinion …..and then in between was pure delight and as steampunk said that was truly fun to read. in my later readings i have taken to stopping after reading each of the middle lines and visualizing them and that is like having a GREAT BIG PEA PARTY in my filthy chair. everybody knows that pea parties are way cooler than tea parties. loved LOVED LOVED this blog sweet pea. just like i love LOVE LOVE you.
